How the Work
Happens

Ideas at Fathom + Form develop through collaboration and craft. We partner closely with architects, designers and builders to translate design intent into fabricated metalwork, from early concept through engineering, fabrication and final installation.

1 Concept Development

We collaborate closely from the earliest stages. Through sketches, modeling and direct technical conversation, we work out how metal supports the architectural vision while staying structurally sound and buildable.

2 Digital Design

Our studio uses advanced modeling tools to translate architectural concepts into fabrication- ready systems.

Capabilities include:

  • 3D modeling

  • Parametric design

  • CAD/CAM integration

  • CNC programming

3 Fabrication

All work is fabricated in-house, combining advanced equipment with traditional craft.

Processes include:

  • Precision welding (TIG / MIG)

  • CNC machining

  • Laser cutting

  • Forming and metal shaping

  • Mechanical assembly

4 Finishing

Metal finishing requires technical knowledge and a good eye in equal measure. Each finish is chosen to
complement the architecture and hold up over time.

Techniques include:

  • Plating

  • Anodizing

  • Powder coating

  • Polishing

  • Metalizing

  • Patination

5 Installation

Installation is where fabrication meets the building. We prefabricate assemblies whenever possible and coordinate closely with builders on site to ensure the installation reflects the precision of the work

Bring us in early.

The best projects start with early collaboration. When we're involved from the beginning, we can help refine details, explore material options and make sure fabrication stays aligned with the architectural intent throughout.

Whether you're sketching ideas or preparing technical drawings, we're here to help shape the path forward.
